Here is an interesting article on pink baby bedding; the author takes care to help you also protect your baby.  She mentions when and when NOT to have different baby products.  There are a couple of points where I disagree however; read this and see if you spot the same discrepancies.

“Pink baby bedding is invariably a great selection, but you also have loads of great girly selections like anything pink and patterns having to do with butterflies, fairies, ladybugs, flowers, ballerinas, rainbows or princesses. Make sure to check the designs with the likes and wishes of your young princess. There are more and more baby girl bedding designs coming out all the time. Baby girl bedding is just one thing you’ll need for her crib. You will also require bumpers, blankets and, crib sheets of course. Make sure that the crib sheets are made of top quality cotton that is soft. Baby blankets come in the form of fleece, cotton, silk, chenille, corduroy and suede.”

You should also have a baby bumper around the interior of the crib to protect your baby girl from bumping her head or getting her hands or legs stuck between the wood slats or side rails of her crib.

Usually all pink baby bedding are machine washable as they are made from 100% cotton wool fabric. However care must be taken to use mild and non-fragrant detergents. The reason is sometimes these attributes can cause irritation to the baby’s skin. Though the mattress is covered below the bedding and is in the bottom of the crib; it should be the one that requires to be given ample importance and thoughtfulness. Many are made of high quality, durable and soft cotton, while others include a assortment of materials.

Pink baby bedding is probably one of the most popular colors for girls, but don’t reckon that there is just one shade of pink. Did you catch any points that didn’t quite make sense? The author talks about blankets and bumpers, then says not to use them with newborns, yet inexplicably mentions bumpers again. Hmmm…

The other thing was saying “100% cotton wool”. Cotton is cotton, and wool is well, from sheep. Otherwise, a nice description of pink baby bedding with a lot of sweet ideas.
